AKSANC CALGARY CANADA invites applications for scholarship award from qualified Akwa Ibomites studying in any of the institutions of higher learning in Nigeria (Polytechnics, Universities, College of Education). 


To qualify for the scholarship award, a candidate must possess a GPA of 4.5 & above. Candidates in years 1 to 4 are eligible to apply for the scholarship award.


Five (5) scholarships will be awarded to students from each of the three senatorial Districts in the state.

  • What is the scholarship for?

    AKSAN CALGARY CANADA invites applications for scholarship award from qualified Akwa Ibomites studying in any of the institutions of higher learning in Nigeria (Polytechnics, Universities, College of Education). 


    To qualify for the scholarship award, a candidate must possess a GPA of 3.5 & above. Candidates in years 1 to 4 are eligible to apply for the scholarship award.


    Five (5) scholarships will be awarded to students from each of the three senatorial Districts in the state.

  • What do I need to apply for the scholarship?

    The application must be accompanied by

    • a certificate of origin
    • the most recent school year Transcript by undergraduate students or admission letter for 1st-year undergraduate Students only.

  • Who is qualified to apply?

    •  Applicants must be indigenes of Akwa Ibom
    • Applicants must be enrolled in a public institution of higher learning anywhere in Nigeria.
    • Applicants must be undergraduate students.
    • Applicant must be registered for the semester the scholarship is granted.
    • Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 undergraduate or a High School GPA of 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale) for first-year undergraduates.

  • What is the application deadline?

    The deadline for application submission is July 30th, 2024.
